Tasting Notes:

Cornish Point vineyard is planted at the meeting of the Kawarau and Clutha arms of Lake Dunstan at the eastern tip of Bannock.  It is hand harvested, fermented using wild yeasts in small fermenters, matured in French oak  barrels for 14 months, then estate bottled; unfined and unfiltered. The wine is bottled under screwcap to ensure freshness and longevity.

Description: A deep ruby colour and a nose of sweet fruit and smoky herbs gives way to a classic Bannockburn palate: dark cherries, spice, dried herbs and a hint of smoke. The impressive fruit concentration does not distract from its elegance allowing the full subtleties to be enjoyed with a long and complex finish.

"I love Central Otago Pinot Noir, well ok I usually love most Pinot Noir, but I think apart from good Burgundy that Central Otago is producing the most interesting Pinot Noir Red wines. This is from the fantastic Felton Road Estate and is slightly more affordable than the Felton Road Pinot Noirs but be warned that we only have limited stock available."
