Tasting Notes:

Surprisingly big on the palate, with lots of tropical fruit flavours and delectable crisp acid, which makes this an enjoyable wine with or without food. The grapes were hand-picked at between 23 and 25 °B and fermented in stainless steel tanks at 15 to 18 ° Celsius for 14 days. After fermentation the wine was kept on the lees for five month before bottling. A percentage whole pressing was done and natural fermentation was allowed.

The wine is made to be enjoyed immediately.

Since 1999, Avondale excelled in the South African and international wine competitions, consistently picking up four star ratings, double gold, gold and silver medals in The Platter Guide, Veritas, Michelangelo, Muscat de Monde and International Wine and Sprits.
