Introduction
We are an independent, family-owned business located in Jersey in the Channel Islands that has been trading for over one hundred years. We pride ourselves on our extensive range of over 1600 wines from all over the world, our wide range of spirits, liqueurs, beers, lagers, ciders, waters and soft drinks as well as connoisseur foods, gifts, wine accessories etc. and our ability to offer our customers personal, friendly advice combined with excellent customer service.
Dunell’s has gained a lot of ground in recent years by expanding and evolving to become Jersey’s leading wine and spirit specialist. Indeed, in January 2011 Dunell's began a huge transformation of its Beaumont shop, completely changing the layout and feel of the shop. After much research and observation, we felt the shopping experience could be further improved and the pictures above and below are the results. The response so far has been extremely positive and we are delighted with the changes.
March 2011 heralded the arrival of our new tasting machines from By The Glass UK that allow customers to try up to 32 wines before they buy. They really are the icing on the cake and the comments we have received have been incredible. We are delighted with them. Please do visit the shop to see them in action and to sample some great wines!
Our 'Wine Wall'
You will now find over 1100 wines displayed on our main wine wall. Over 450 of these wines are available to purchase immediately by the case from our shop case storage area and best selling aisle.
We can also arrange to deliver to you, from our warehouse stock (we have two large temperature controlled warehouses totalling approximately 8500sq ft), any cases that you request if they are not immediately available from our shop location.
September 2011 - Dunell's 'La Cave' NOW OPEN in St. Helier!
We are very proud to announce that in addition to our main store in Beaumont, Dunell's 'La Cave' is NOW OPEN!
On Tuesday 27th September 2011 and for the first time in our 112-year history, we have officially opened a shop in town. Located at 37 Hill Street, St Helier (opposite Snow Hill bus stop), our town shop offers almost 800 different wines from around the world and 200 different spirits from our main portfolio. We also have a large selection of glassware and accessories. It's a perfect one-stop gift emporium! We have also installed another state-of-the-art 16 bottle wine tasting machine (in addition to our 2 x 16 bottle machines in Beaumont) to allow customers to try before they buy.
The aim of the new shop is to bring a fantastic selection of wines and spirits from our main portfolio into the centre of town, together with our traditional, independent family values of quality service. It has been a dream to have a town shop for many years and we are thrilled to finally open our doors.
We have already received a very positive response and have already taken bookings for future private and corporate wine tastings (we can take bookings for up to 30 people) which will obviously be one of the main attractions of a town location. To complement both shops, our website offers customers the convenience of being able to select and buy wines (currently over 1000 available), beers, lagers, ciders, waters, soft drinks, spirits, liqueurs, gifts, hampers, wine accessories etc at the click of a mouse any time of the day or week and have it delivered free to their home or business the same day or next day. The primary focus is the ability to buy carefully selected mixed cases that have been chosen from our ever increasing portfolio of over 1600 different wines. These cases offer our best selling wines grouped into specific categories to make it very easy for customers to find and select exactly the type of wine they are looking for. Customers are also able to buy individual quantities of any of the wines we have listed. We offer a 5% discount when purchasing case quantities (multiples of 6) of individual wines. Shop account holders can also 'book' their basket items to their shop credit account.
