The 2003 Gran reserva from Bodegas LAN is a classic aged Rioja, made from old vine Tempranillo and aged for three years in cask before bottling with additional bottle age before release. This well priced Gran Reserva is mature and elegant. Brick red tint, delicate brandied cherry fruit and fully integrated barrel character. Elegant and well balanced in the mouth.
