Tasting Notes: (new vintage picture to be uploaded soon)
This bottle holds Perrier-Jouët's most remarkable champagne and one of the world's best known prestige cuvées. The success story began with the discovery of a bottle designed by Emile Galle in 1902. The bottle was so strikingly beautiful that Perrier-Jouët resolved to fill it with a prestige champagne. The best grands crus from the Cote des Blancs, were blended to make a subtle, elegant, refined champagne.
The colour is a greenish-gold, reflecting a magnificent, crystalline brightness and in the glass it has fine, regular bubbles. On the nose it has soft notes of white flowers, honey and lemon married with the aromas of fresh fruits such as plums and pineapple. The flavour confirms the richness of the bouquet : initial freshness, light but strong and lively, with some subtle notes of honey and vanilla.
