Made from old Syrah and Cabernet vines the proportions vary each vintage in order to produce the very best wine from the conditions available. A complex, powerful nose of black fruits, truffles, coriander and a hint of pepper. Very full in the mouth with very fine tannins and a beautiful harmony with subtle oak ageing. This is a wine for the serious connoisseur who has a little patience.
Tasting notes from Dunell's - December 2011 - Opened a bottle this evening. Very impressive and drinking beautifully right now. Rich, full and complex, powerful nose with blackberry fruit, truffle, coriander, a hint of pepper. Very refined tannins, good balance of oak. Perfect for game and stews but I would love this with Christmas Turkey! We buy this wine direct from the estate and stock is limited so we highly recommend purchasing.
