Using cooler climate fruit, this wine is a modern interpretation of Australian Shiraz. Whilst traditionally associated with warm regions, Shiraz has also proven to be a star performer when carefully managed in the cool climate of the Adelaide Hills. Deep crimson-purple; a classy bouquet promises spicy black fruits and quality oak which the medium to full bodied palate delivers in spades, with layers of flavour and perfect balance.
The quality of this has risen so fast, and so consistently that in five years or so it has become an established star. Melted velvet. It needs time to settle, but this will turn out to be a terrifically elegant, fine-boned wine. It tastes of blueberries, fennel roots, five-spice and cedarwood, though mostly it tastes of Class (note the capital C).
