Notes:
This stunning property which was purchased by the Anton family of Izadi in 2003 is a mature vineyard on the golden mile of vineyards in Ribera del Duero. The adjoining vineyards are those of Vega Sicillia & Pingus and indeed until 2004 several of the Tempranillo vineyards were leased to Pingus for the production of Flor de Pingus.
This wine is made from 86% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon 4% Merlot. It spends 16 months in French oak. A superb dark fruit nose, the palate has concentrated rich yet creamy black & cherry fruit with superb length. Great structure and balanced tannins.
