Bottle Description
Notes:
A relative newcomer to the scene in the ancient Bekaa Valley but now a serious contender, up there with the revered Chateau Musar. Medium bodied with balanced, red fruit palate, succulent and juicy yet silky smooth and moreish. Superb and very Bordelaise in style.
Chateau Ka, literally meaning “soul for an ancient god”, was founded by Akram Kassatly as recently as 2000, with the first release of wines in 2006. Previous attempts to start the wine business had been thwarted by war but this time the winery has flourished. The initial planting of 50 acres, at 1200 metres elevation, is growing and by 2010 there will be some 300 acres in production.
