Rías Baixas translates as “lower estuaries”. The landscape is dominated by a dramatic coastline, with rocky fjords, green hills and forests. Its granite soils provide good drainage for vineyards. It makes some of the world’s most elegant white wines and is home to the native grape variety, Albariño.

In the heel of Italy, Manduria is considered the birth place of the native Primitivo grape, and was officially recognised as such in the 1970s when a DOC was created for the region. Alice means Sardine in Italian.
