Description
Founded in 1846, Devaux’s headquarters are in Bar-sur-Seine, in the Aube region of Champagne, an area known for the excellence of its Pinot Noir grapes, a variety that characterises each Devaux Cuvée. Winemaker Michel Parisot, who has worked at Devaux for many years, uses only juice from the first pressing - the most concentrated - and ages the Champagne on lees for at least three years for a non-vintage and five years for vintage, before disgorgement and release.
"92 Points. An impeccably assembled blend, showcasing the enticing generosity and definition of the Cotes des Bar at an affordable price. The richness of pinot noir's rounded peach personality, complexity of honey and lingering mixed spice and enlivened with a vibrant acid backbone and soft minerality, bring balance and focus to the finish."- Tyson Stelzer, The Champagne Guide 2014-2015.
