PAUL CLUVER Chardonnay 'Elgin'
Elgin, South Africa
Lots of buttered toast / brioche on the nose with some citrus aspects too. Tangerine fruit and citrus blossom fragrances are apparent, with hints of vanilla pod and almond flakes. These characteristics follow through onto the palate. The fine, fresh acidity is natural, and adds poise and focus to the wine.
Food pairing: Fish, poultry, pork and game bird dishes work well with this wine. It works particularly well with creamy pastas and salmon dishes.
MIRABEAU EN PROVENCE 'Etoile' Rosé
A stunning lychee coloured rosé with crystalline nuances, this wine is almost celestially sublime. Delicate aromas of white peach, elegant citrus and the merest hint of fresh pineapple. Silky and round with notes of ripe apricots and a concentrated, lingering finish.
Food pairings: Salads, canapés, fine grilled meats, fish and shellfish, sushi and Asian cuisine, vegetarian dishes, as well as desserts.
MARQUES DE RISCAL Rioja Reserva
Cherry-red colour with a good robe. Spicy, balsamic aromas of great complexity, with notes of ripe dark berries and light toasted nuances. On the palate it is full and tasty, with good structure and rounded, elegant tannins. The finish is long and fresh, with a slight reminder of the fine oak.
Food pairing: This wine goes well with ham, mild cheeses, casseroles which are not highly spiced, bean and pulse dishes, poultry, red meat, grills and roasts.
FRATELLI BERLUCCHI Franciacorta Brut 25 NV
Well-balanced acidity gives freshness and flavour. Floral and fruity notes with hints of yeast, bread crust and delicate nuances of citrus. Hints of bread crust and yeast enriched with delicate notes of citrus (mandarin, lime, grapefruit), white fruit (peach, apple, pear) and dry fruit (almonds, hazelnuts, dried figs).
Food Pairing: Franciacorta is an ideal wine for any point in a meal. The extraordinary quality striven for and achieved by its producers makes this a perfect wine for important occasions: from an aperitif to main dishes, from the simplest meal to the most complex.

2009 - Robert Parker 94-96 points - "The 2009 Rayne-Vigneau is one of the stars of the vintage. It has a very well defined, almost understated nose with white peach, apricot and lime leaf: very pretty and succinct. The palate is very well balanced, beautifully defined with real minerality showing through the viscous, botrytized fruit. Great tension here, effortlessly counterbalancing the richness to perfection."
2010 - Robert Parker 93 points - Drink: 2014 - 2035 "The Rayne-Vigneau 2010 appears to come on leaps and bounds since its showing in barrel, displaying the chutzpah that I hoped would develop. It has an endearing bouquet with delicate scents of lemon curd, orange peel and a touch of coconut, exhibiting good levels of botrytis. The palate is very smooth on the entry with good acidity, honeyed and lightly spiced fruit and an elegant finish. This is a straight, down-the-line, delicious Sauternes that should elicit pleasure over the next two or three decades."

Douro Valley, Portugal
A Vintage Character style blended port of great quality and complexity. Showing beautiful deep ruby colour with plenty of forward fruit, full bodied with a long dry finish. The slight dry finish is typical of La Rosa's house style. This Port has been lightly filtered and does not require decanting.
Delicious with dessert or cheese.
