Description
Musar has assumed legendary status. Complex, long-lived and endlessly varied, in some vintages it seems more like a Burgundy, in others a Bordeaux, in still others a Hermitage. But it is always brilliantly, uniquely, Lebanese.
An intensely smoky, spicy and black fruit led vintage of Musar's flagship wine. It's a vintage that's unmistakably Musar in style. The Cabernet Sauvignon, Cinsault and Carignan vines used have an average age of around 40 years and the wine itself has been seven years in the making, being released in early 2023. 2017 was a very small vintage so the UK's allocation is very limited this year. It's enticingly aromatic with rich flavours of baked fruit and spices and is full bodied and wonderfully appealing. The 2017 is ready for drinking from now until at least 2035.
