Description

Quebrada Seca in Limari the source of the best Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from Chile. These vineyards were planted in 1999, on clay and limestone soils with unique calcareous colluvial stones. That, according to winemaker Marcelo Papa, has a profound impact on the tannins, which are firm and juicy, interacting with the fruit, providing structure and freshness. It is a complex and multi-layered wine, with red cherries and a hint of black tea leaves. Refreshing, it has an excellent combination of structure and minerality, with a long and fresh finish. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (20% new).

THE WINE ADVOCATE Robert Parker - 95 points (by Luis Gutiérrez): “The super elegant and delicate 2020 Amelia Pinot Noir is really captivating, floral, perfumed, nuanced and harmonious. It has a terrific balance and texture and great purity of flavors. It follows the style of the already-amazing 2018. The grapes with 13.5% alcohol fermented with 20% to 30% full clusters in open-top vats and matured in Burgundy oak barrels, 20% of them new, for one year. 4,800 bottles were filled in April 2021.” Drink Date 2021 – 2028.
