The Dundee Hills cuvée is classically balanced, elegant, focused, and very clearly represents the terroir of their Estate. The colour is a beautiful mix of garnet and ruby. Aromatically dynamic, floral notes with bright red fruit and spice fill the bouquet and palate. It is a mix of roses and violets with red hills earth, white pepper, red currant, cassis, light vanilla, pomegranate and warm cherry pie. On the palate, the texture is layered and complex, and the finish is quite long with well integrated tannins that will round in time. It's young, but very pleasing now, and will only improve with time and patience. Enjoy today, and through the next five to eight years. 96 points James Suckling - "Incredible clarity and purity of dark red cherries on the nose here. This is a stunning young pinot. The palate has a very plush, fleshy and concentrated core of rich black cherries with toasty oak spice overlaid. Long, noble tannins. This is exceptional. Drink or hold. (10/2018)"
