Description

This wine is made by Matt Thomson at the Cantina di Monteforte with fruit that is declassified from Soave DOC status. Made from 55% Merlot and 45% Corvina, the quality grape of Valpolicella, this wine has a lovely, vibrant colour and a ripe, fresh nose mingling the cherry blossom perfume characteristic of great Corvina from this area, with a soft, blackberry fruit. Soft and attractive on the palate, it has sufficient weight to partner a wide range of pasta and rice dishes, particularly the risotto dishes for which this area is known. A great value Italian red. Fantastic for parties and glugging!
