Description

92 points Robert Parker (2011) - " Tasted at the Chevillon “Vaucrains” vertical in London. The 2003 has a typically (for the vintage) ripe, almost New World, Martinborough-like nose with macerated dark cherries and just a touch of burnt match. The palate is well balanced and sinewy, robust and rather bold tannins, thick and a little brawny perhaps but it has a very correct, tannic finish that is completely in synch with the layers of ripe fruit. Give this time: it might surprise a few that wrote off the vintage although it is atypical of Chevillon’s style. Drink 2014-2020."
