Description

The Tbilvino Saperavi well dapted to the harsh winters and colder climates of the region, appropriately meaning “dye”, is probably Georgia’s best-known red grape variety. It is renowned for its deep colour and tannic structure, which comes from the dark skins and pink flesh. The wine has an authentic local character with hints of coffee, cinnamon and vanilla overlaying black fruit, particularly blackberry. On the palate, it displays typical Saperavi notes of cassis and a hint of liquorice. The palate is well rounded and has an elegant, fresh finish.
