Description

The Eymann wine estate was founded in 1984 and is owned and run by the Torey family. The winery is located in Gönnheim, a small wine village at the Mittelhaardt, the centre of the Pfalz wine growing region, in south-west Germany. The vineyards (mainly gravel and sand with top layer of loess) are situated on the upper Rhine terrace. The characteristic feature of loess is its high lime and mineral content, which is the basis of the mineral structure and the full-bodied character of the wines from Gönnheim.

Grapes from two specific vineyard plots, the Sonnenburg & Mandelgarten which are prime sites situated next to the Haardt mountains. Ripe strawberry and red cherry on the palate with a pleasant long finish.
