Location
Located in Côtes-de-Provence, La Mascaronne’s vines are planted on distinctive stone-walled terraces. Certified Agriculture Biologique since 2016, the estate’s sixty-hectare vineyard is a single, continuous plot of land surrounded by oak and olive trees. The wines of Château La Mascaronne are crafted exclusively from grapes grown on-site.

A Singular Heritage
Located on a hillside at the highest point of the estate, La Mascaronne’s vineyard sits in sumptuous ring-shaped site, mostly composed of clay-limestone soils. At an elevation of three hundred meters,
it enjoys a unique microclimate: at night, it is constantly cooler than on the shore. The vineyard’s orientation brings natural ventilation that favours the healthy development of its grapes. The amount
of sunshine and rain and average temperatures are never excessive, providing ideal conditions for the vine to thrive. On this terroir, roots reach deep down into the depths of the land, which protects the vine from extreme dryness. Irrigation is thus rendered unnecessary. Harvest takes place in the morning and is carried out entirely by hand, so that only the most qualitative berries are used.

Environmental Commitment
At La Mascaronne, the commitment to respecting the environment is more than just a philosophy; it is a prerequisite to all that they do. The wines are certified Agriculture Biologique, and their estate benefits from such a wealth of biodiversity that they cannot but consider our environment in its entirety. This is what drives them to tend not only to their vines and soils with great care, but also to pay particular attention to their splendid olive trees and centuries-old oak tree.

The 2021 Vintage
In a year punctuated by intense climatic episodes, the extraordinary terroir, their precise knowledge of it and the constant presence of their teams enabled us to support their vines in the best possible way to obtain the finest grapes and to harvest them serenely. With its pale pink and silver reflections, the 2021 vintage of Château La Mascaronne Rosé is first marked by the elegance and delicacy of its aromas with notes of peach, apricot, and white flowers. Then comes the freshness, carried in mouth by citrus fruits, and finally the delicacy, with the apricot notes giving an intense fruity final. Delicious as an aperitif or during a meal when young, Château La Mascaronne rosé can also be enjoyed after 1 or 2 years of ageing.
