Ô de Rosé is a tribute to their singular terroir, to the scenic grandeur of the local landscape and to the heartening Northern wind protecting our vineyards. The vineyards are rooted in the foothills of the Massif Central and plateauing over breathtaking views of the nearing Pyrenees and waters of the Mediterranean Sea. This patchwork of climates and terroirs is the secret behind Ô: the grapes are slowly matured in perfect weather conditions and produce a crisp and elegantly balanced wine. This beautiful pale-pink colour blend of Grenache & Syrah is a refreshing and well-balanced rosé. It offers a gorgeous mélange of upfront citrus, bright spring flowers, rhubarb and ripe strawberry aromas that are framed by hints of crisp mouthwatering saline notes, finishing snappy and fresh. The red fruits are balanced by a crisp edge that will allow it to age for several months. Light salads, pasta and rice dishes, seafood, raw and lightly cooked shellfish and goats’ cheeses. Perfect hot weather pour.
The 2020 vintage has recently been awarded 94/100 points by Elisabeth Gabay, Master of Wine and featured in The Buyer's Guide to Rosés of Southern France.
94/100 was the highest score awarded and was only 1 of 4 wines to receive the 'Outstanding' accolade score. This is very high praise indeed. It is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Viognier.
She wrote..."Pale salmon pink. Mute nose. Beautiful silky red fruit. Floral, intense redcurrants, cranberries and a hint of wild strawberries - loads of fruit balancing the acidity. Love the almost austere structure and ripe fruit opulence. Slightly peachy. Intensely perfumed citrus, oranges. Just layer after layer of beautifully extracted fruit, slight chalkiness, hints almost of dried fruit and oloroso sherry in the structure. Absolutely gorgeous. Salty, briny, brilliantly ripe fruit. Absolutely out-of-this-world brilliant wine, although it will not please those looking for a simple fruit bomb. Outstanding."
