When Fernando Guedes planted Azevedo, and made the first wine in 1990, he pioneered the production of quality Vinho Verde. He immediately set out to transform the estate by planting 35 hectares of vineyards in this cool, wet part of north-western Portugal, bordered to the north by the Minho River adjacent to Spain, to the west by the Atlantic and to the south by the city of Porto. Tasting Notes: This wine is clear and bright with youthful tints and an intense aroma of well-ripened fruit, such as peaches and nectarines. On the palate, it is creamy with aromatic notes of ripe fruit with great concentration. A lively acidity invites a long and balanced finish. SUITABLE FOR VEGETARIANS.
