"The 2019 Reserva Branco (formerly just the "Branco," while what is now called the regular Branco was the douRosa) is mostly a 60/25 blend of Viosinho and Rabigato, with several other typical grapes in a field blend, including Arinto, Códega and Gouveio. It was aged for six months in 10% new oak and 10% stainless steel, with the other 80% in used oak. It comes in at 13.1% alcohol.
This takes the regular Branco, then adds some wood texture and plenty of power. There's steel underneath too. That makes a wine that feels dense yet crisp, with a lingering and textured finish. La Rosa's two main white labels (the regular Branco and this) certainly seem to be particularly good bargains this year. They punch above their weight. This should hold well, and unlike with the regular Branco, there shouldn't be any serious question that this can handle itself well for a decade or more."
