WSET Level 2 is a three-day course in our private board room at Beaumont and will be run from Tuesday 15th until Thursday 17th March 2022.
The course is being led by award-winning Clare Whitehead who is the Head of Education of Liberty Wine Academy (named the Wine Educator of the Year for the fourth time in a row by International Wine Challenge).
WSET Level 2 (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) is the internationally recognised course that is followed by those who would like to learn more about wine as well as those entering the wine and hospitality industry.
In a fun and informative way you will learn about tasting techniques to help you build tasting experience, pairing wine and food, still and sparkling wine production, most popular wine regions in the world and you will taste a broad selection of 54 wines over the 3 days. Level 2 can be comfortably achieved by those with little or no previous wine knowledge.
We will start every day at 9.40am with tea/coffee and croissants. Each session will include a delicious lunch of cheese and charcuterie before resuming teaching for the afternoon. The course will finish each day by 5pm.
Clare will cover the whole Level 2 syllabus but please note there will be additional revision exercises that you will be required to complete at home after each course day to make sure you are ready to sit the examination on the last day in the afternoon (a multiple choice paper of 50 questions).
The course cost covers WSET examination fees, WSET course materials, tuition, all the equipment and tasting samples you need as well as water. Course materials will be available for you to collect in advance and we recommend that you read them thoroughly before starting the course.
