WSET Level 1 is a one-day course in our private board room at Beaumont and will be run on Tuesday 19th October 2021.
The course is being led by award-winning Clare Whitehead who is the Head of Education of Liberty Wine Academy (named the Wine Educator of the Year for the fourth time in a row by International Wine Challenge).
WSET Level 1 (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) is the internationally recognised course that provides basic knowledge of the wine industry for those who have an interest in wine appreciation.
In a fun and informative way you will learn about tasting techniques to help you build tasting experience, pairing wine and food, the main styles of wine and characteristics of well-known grape varieties. We will also taste a selection of 7 wines from our portfolio.
We will start at 9.40am with tea/coffee and croissants. The session will also include a delicious lunch of cheese and charcuterie before resuming teaching for the afternoon. The course will finish around 4.30pm with an exam (a multiple choice paper of 30 questions).
The course cost covers WSET examination fees, WSET course materials, tuition, all the equipment and wines during the course as well as water, of course.
£225 per person. Limited spaces.
