Description

Vina Cobos is Paul Hobbs’ winery in Mendoza. He is better known (at least for the moment) to connoisseurs and collectors for his namesake winery in Napa, California which has been awarded many accolades (including maximum score 100 points from the world’s most influential critic Robert Parker). He is also well known for being winemaker at America’s most famous estate the Rothschild/Mondavi project Opus One.

This is Viña Cobos' most sophisticated Felino malbec yet carries a deep magenta hue and aromas of dark berries and anise. On the palate, intense, pure flavours of just-picked raspberries, black plum and graphite unfold in velvety layers. Exotic notes of ginger and white pepper carry through the mid-palate to intermingle with firm tannins and notes of cedar on the finish.
