Description

Based in Puligny-Montrachet, Jean Pascal & Fils is a 15-hectare Domaine run by Jean Pascal’s grandson Yann together with his wife Alexandra.
All the crop now being vinified and bottled at the domaine and the wines are barrel fermented in casks being supplied by four local premium tonnelleries; Berthomieu, Montgillard, Meyrieux and Rousseau. Ageing is in cask on the fine lees for twelve months followed by 3-4 months in stainless steel vats.
This is their village-level Puligny-Montrachet, made from vines that have an average age of 44 years. The 2021 vintage is round, silky and beautifully balanced, approachable now but would benefit from some cellaring.
