The Pascal estate changed its name last year to that of the latest generation, Joseph Pascal, who is now working at the domaine with his parents, Yann and Alexandra.
The 15 hectares of vines makes this one of the larger properties in Puligny-Montrachet with all the crop now being vinified and bottled at the domaine. All their wines are barrel fermented with the casks being supplied by four local tonnelleries; Berthomieu, Montgillard, Meyrieux and Rousseau. Ageing is in cask on the fine lees for twelve months followed by 3-4 months in stainless steel vats. The 2022s are gloriously ripe yet fresh wines.
The Pascals have 3.5 hectares of Puligny-Montrachet, the largest parcel in Noyer Bret just a few hundred metres below the grands crus. A lovely, elegant wine which combines richness with vivacity. Drink 2025-2028.
