Meet Erik—a true cicerone (it's a cool word, look it up if you don't know) and passionate food and wine connoisseur! Arriving in Jersey in 2007, Erik’s rich hospitality background includes years at Green Island Restaurant and the legendary Ormer (now Samphire), where he was part of the talented team that earned a Michelin star. With formal training in hotel management, chef skills, and extensive front-of-house experience, Erik’s deep love for wine, beer and foraging for wild foods make him a culinary explorer at heart. Since joining Dunell’s in 2014, he’s brought his vibrant energy and expertise to our Town shop, backed by impressive WSET Level 3 qualifications in Wines and Spirits, plus Beers. Erik’s passion, knowledge, and adventurous spirit make him an invaluable part of the Dunell’s family—always ready to share his love for exceptional wine, food, and discovery!

What are some of your interests outside work?
I love mushroom hunting, wild food foraging, cooking, hiking, skiing, orange/natural wine, craft beer and occasionally good tobacco (pipe smoking).
If you could be served any food/dish, what would it be?
Local Squid with Chorizo, lemon-chilli oil or Pan fried skate wing with burnet butter caper sauce, Jersey Royals and samphire.
What do you like about working for Dunell’s?
being a part of ‘TOP independent wine merchant team’ in whole UK is just awesome, isn’t it ? :)

Here are my favourite rack fillers as well as those for times of indulgence...
