Description
Frédéric Savart’s NV Extra Brut Premier Cru L'Accomplie is an outstanding Champagne crafted from organically farmed parcels in Ecueil and Villers-aux-Noeuds. This blend is predominantly composed of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay, resulting in a mouthwateringly fresh and elegant expression. James Suckling awarded it 93 points, noting its fine, crisp minerality with alluring aromas of red flowers and red fruits. The palate is open and generous, featuring elegant red fruit flavours that culminate in a precise, focused finish. The Wine Advocate also awarded it 93 points, describing its medium to full-bodied character with notes of pear, toasted almonds, and vanilla. With a chalky structure and refreshing finish, this Champagne is delightful now and can age beautifully through 2033.
*****
Frederic Savart is a boutique producer of Champagne from tiny organically-farmed parcels in the villages of Ecueil and Villers-aux-Noeuds. This is a gorgeous, mouth-wateringly fresh blend of mostly Pinot Noir with a small portion of Chardonnay. It is bright, concentrated and racy with notes of lemon, red apple skin, lime zest, honey and nuts. Super elegant, precise and wonderfully long.
JAMES SUCKLING 93 points
This is very fine, very crisp and super mineral on the nose with red flowers and red fruits; very fresh. Has an open palate, mouth-filling elegant red fruits with a fine, focused finish. A non-vintage Champagne based on 2014 and 2015. 20% chardonnay and 80% pinot noir.
THE WINE ADVOCATE 93 points
Drink Date: 2022 - 2033
Based on the 2019 vintage, with reserve wines from 2018, the latest rendition of Savart's NV Extra Brut Premier Cru L'Accomplie opens in the glass with notions of pear, toasted almonds, dried white flowers, clear honey and vanilla pod. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and precise, with a vibrant core of fruit, chalky structure and a mouthwatering finish, it's showing well. - William Kelley
