Description
IN BRIEF
Paul René Brut Blanc de Blancs 'Cap Classique' is an exceptional sparkling wine made from 100% Chardonnay, embodying elegance and complexity through the Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) technique. The wine opens with a rich bouquet of citrus blossom and nougat, complemented by crystalline notes of lemon curd and orange, resulting in a refreshing and vibrant profile. Bright limestone acidity keeps the wine taut and lively, while its silky mouthfeel introduces enticing bready and creamy undertones, culminating in a harmonious finish. This elegant MCC is ideal as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, light salads, or creamy cheeses. Perfect for celebrations or casual gatherings, it invites you to savour each delightful sip.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Paul René is a trend-setting bubbly from the Robertson wine valley in South Africa, appealing to those who appreciate the finer things in life. This Cap Classique has established a strong following, gracing the tables of exclusive dinner parties, upscale eateries, and charming local delis. Henk van Niekerk, a passionate farmer and bubbly producer, attributes the wine's success to a break from tradition, enabling Paul René to evolve from its humble beginnings at Wonderfontein Estate into a favourite among a new generation of sparkling wine enthusiasts.
Henk's early passion for flavours was ignited as a boy, often "borrowing" ingredients from his mother's kitchen for culinary adventures with friends. This led him to create the Paul René Cap Classique, which exceeded his expectations and became his life's passion. After years of research and meticulous planning to perfect the wine, Henk’s wife, Monica, took charge of designing the striking packaging. As a young girl, she spent creative days in her grandmother's art studio, which undoubtedly influenced the unique and appealing look of Paul René Cap Classique. The combination of Henk's innovative winemaking and Monica's artistic vision results in a bubbly that delights the senses and stands out in the market.
