Description

Cognac Art du Temps lot N°0973 was distilled in 1973 and aged in oak until bottling in 2014 (41 years). A wonderfully round Cognac for this limited edition, with aromas of vanilla and crème brûlée, and a citrus and orange marmalade finish.

The history of the Lhéraud family dates back to 1680 when Alexandre Lhéraud, settled in Petite Champagne, planted vines in his garden. Will follow Victor, Jean, Pierre, Eugène, Rémy and finally Guy, who contributed with his wife Andrée and their son Laurent to make Lhéraud a brand recognised worldwide.

It is in the domain of Lasdoux, commune of Angeac, behind the walls of an old residence, that the soul of the domain resides. The five cellars in blonde Charente stone, where the Limousin oak barrels rest, allow natural ageing, without addition or reduction. This is what gives Lhéraud cognacs, armagnacs and pineaux their incomparable flavour.

The vineyards extend over 85 hectares planted with Ugni Blanc, Colombard and Folle Blanche, spread over two of the six cognac crus, mainly Petite Champagne. It brings roundness and scents of violet, while the Grande Champagne provides great complexity and the Fin Bois sand gives freshness and nose. Lhéraud cognacs are rich in this diversity.
