Description

Mermaid Gin is crafted using a unique infusion of carefully selected botanicals, including juniper berries and hand-picked rock samphire from the Island’s chalk cliffs. It features Boadicea hops grown at the Ventnor Botanic Garden, along with English coriander seeds, fresh lemon zest, angelica root, liquorice root, orris root, elderflower, and grains of paradise. All ingredients are sourced locally to capture the true essence of the Island. The coriander seeds used are the first to be commercially grown in England. Before distillation, the botanicals are steeped for 24 hours to release essential oils, then distilled for a day. The resulting gin is rested for seven days, producing a refreshing, smooth, and slightly sweet peppery gin with hints of citrus.
