Probably the most prestigious light Cuban rum, Havana Club 3 year old infuses an extra touch of quality into rum cocktails and is great with just about any mixer we can think of. Molasses based.
TASTING NOTES: "The initial aroma represents a complex combination of pear, licorice and pepper. Subsequent passes reveal banana, citrus, and a hint of toffee. The rum washes over the palate in a manner befitting an aged rum, with the pear and banana taking center stage. Following closely is the ample licorice and roasted fennel bulb that combines with black pepper and a hint of cinnamon. There is a bit of sweetness now, which somewhat tempers the poor finish where ample saccharin bitterness manages to squander most of the goodwill generated to this point. Definitely not a sipping white rum, the HC3 does make a very fine Daiquiri or Mojito." Josh Miller.
