The gin is crafted using a blend of 9 botanicals, which include juniper, coriander, angelica root, and citrus peels. This thoughtfully curated selection gives Portobello Road Gin a balanced and complex flavour profile. Located on the upper two floors of a 19th-century public house along London's iconic Portobello Road, The Ginstitute serves as the city's second-smallest museum, featuring our 30L alembic still, known as Copernicus the Second.
As Ged, Jake, and Paul were assembling The Ginstitute, they realised that to offer a complete experience, it was essential to create a gin that could proudly call this place home. Distilled in England from English-grown wheat, our base spirit embodies local heritage. We use nine botanical ingredients from around the world, such as juniper berries and orris from Tuscany, lemon peels from Spain, bitter orange peels sourced from Haiti or Morocco, nutmeg from Indonesia, and cassia bark from Southeast Asia.
