Description

A 10 year old Ardmore, first distilled in 2012. The spirit matured in a peated refill cask, one from Laphroraig distillery to be precise. Expect a very smoky and meaty dram.

Ardmore is unusual for a highland distillery, due to the fact they use peated malt - usually 12-14 ppm.

Fruity/hard candy in style on the nose then bonfire smoke and heavily charred wood. On the palate it is oily and thick with soot and ash alongside crispy bacon and peated barley. The finish lingers long with puffs of smoke, a hint of allspice and cured meat.
