Description

The liquid in this release was once part of the incredibly popular 2008 release of the 'Tobermory 15 Year Old'... however, the liquid was then left a further 11 years to mature in the finest oloroso sherry casks Tobermory Distillery could get their hands on from Gonzales Byass! The result? An exquisitely sherried malt, striking the balance of spice and sweet with notes of vanilla, toffee and freshly baked pastries on the palate followed by a lingering woody finish with notes of chocolate covered hazelnuts.

Nose: A burst of dark brown sugar fades to reveal fresh strawberries, vanilla fudge, candied ginger and dried sultanas.
Palate: A perfect balance of spicy and sweet; vanilla, toffee, walnuts and freshly baked cinnamon pastries intertwined with gentle oak and toasted malt.
Finish: Lingering woody finish with notes of chocolate covered hazelnuts.
