DOMAINE FELETTIG Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 'Aux Combottes' 2024 CASE x 6 Bottles - PRE-RELEASE

Description

Organic practices have been long used by the Domaine but 2024 was the first certified vintage. Yields were down 60% with 2025 smaller than average too. In fact François Frères made Felettig different barrel sizes than usual so the barrel could be filled, including a 400L for the Gevrey and a half barrel for the Chambolle 8 Climats. Gilbert used no whole bunch in 2024, the grapes were in fine condition but not the stems. Pigeage was only used at the end of the fermentation. Harvest began on the 16th September and finished on the 24th in the Hautes-Côtes.

This 1er Cru Chambolle-Musigny 'Aux Combottes' has very “calcaire” soils. A 0.25-hectare plot of 60-year-old vines. 50% whole bunches.

:"A glowing ruby purple. The bouquet is more classically Chambolle with some violets tucked in to the red fruits. Vivacious, with good acidity, the oak more in the background, and fine persistence." Drink from 2029-2036. Tasted Nov 2025.

Neal Martin for Vinous - 90-92 points
:"The 2024 Chambolle-Musigny Aux Combottes 1er Cru comprises three barrels this year. Despite the reduction on the nose, there appears to be good complexity and vigour. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, silky smooth in texture with a fine bead of acidity. Yes, there is quite a bit of oak as it is 100% new (François Frères) but it should be absorbed with three years in bottle." Drink 2027-2042
