Description

Quality has risen sharply over the past five years at this family estate run by Yann and Alexandra Pascal with their son Joseph. Yann meticulously tends 15 hectares of vineyards, while Alexandra ranks among Puligny’s finest winemakers. The whites are fermented and aged for 12 months in 228-litre pièces from local coopers, mainly Berthomieu and Meyrieux.

A fine climat immediately below the grand cru of Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet with a similar clay-limestone soil. The Pascal vines were planted in the 1960s and Alexandra always keeps this parcel separate as the wine is consistently of premier cru quality. Intense and concentrated with a wonderful, close-knit texture and a long aftertaste. Drink 2028-2032.
