Description

Latour-Giraud is a family-owned wine producer based in the village of Meursault. The Domaine has a long history dating back to the 17th century and is currently managed by Jean-Pierre Latour.

The 2024 white wines from Latour-Graud display exceptional purity, supported by a beautiful acidity. The concentration on the palate is also impressive, given the low production levels. This kind of balance, which we haven't seen for many years, is marked by aromatic details and precision on the palate (no influence from excessive heat or alcohol).

The `Cuvée Charles Maxime` is a blend of Les Vireuils, Les Corbins and Les Pelles. Fermented and matured in barrel (around 1/3 new) for 15-16 months to impart subtle toasty and vanilla notes.

:"Fresh mid yellow. The nose suggests that this could become a buttery style of Meursault. It is quite understated at first on the palate but then the orchard fruit opens up, aided by well-integrated oak, and here there is a greater volume of fruit so as to cover the acid profile of the vintage. Persists well. Drink from 2028-2031. Tasted Oct 2025."
