ABOUT THIS OFFER
I am very excited to be making our second offer from this amazing estate run by such a beautiful family; Drew, Rae, Indi & Harper Noon (and of course their new Mastiff, Maple).
95% of their entire production, which is only very small, is sold to their 2000-strong, loyal mailing list who they write to (yes write to) personally each vintage offering them a small allocation. Whatever is left (and this is not a lot) is sold at the cellar door where people camp out with barbeques to be the first in the queue, so they don’t miss out with some sneakily returning in disguise attempting to grab a little more.
When Ollie and I were there in January last year we tasted the 2024 Grenache, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon varietals from barrel and quite a few back vintages of all the wines and they are simply sublime and age incredibly well. They will be wines that we will do our best to get as much of as possible when they are released in the future.
I can offer a VERY small quantity of their 2024 Eclipse and 2024 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. These wines will be in Jersey in 6-8 weeks’ time.
They are price at £240 for a case of 6 or buy one of each for £450 (£225 each).
This offer ends on 29th January 2026 and is subject to availability.
If these are for you, please don’t delay, there really is not much to go round.
Best regards,
Neil
ABOUT THIS WINE
The Noon Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is an entrancing blend of decadence and finesse. This opulent crimson wine boasts a complex bouquet of blackcurrant, plum, and subtle hints of mint layered with nuanced tones of European oak. The rich, powerful Australian grape gives an intensely flavoured palate, yet it is elegantly balanced by velvety tannins and a lingering finish.
An exquisite choice for lovers of sumptuous full-bodied wines, it pairs brilliantly with robust dishes like roast beef. Each bottle of Noon Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon adds a level of sophistication delivering an unmatched toast to any special occasion or celebration.
WHAT DREW NOON SAYS ABOUT THIS VINTAGE - Another lovely wine, from a much-reduced crop this year. It’s the pristine fruit flavour that is special about this. And there’s plenty of depth, as well as structure for cellaring if that’s your inclination. It looks like a first-class Cabernet release. In fact, I’d put it amongst our best. Don’t miss it if you love your Cab. Produced from Langhorne Creek Cabernet from the Borrett’s Bore (70%) and Fruit Trees blocks (30%).

ABOUT NOON
Noon Winery is a prominent wine producer located in the renowned McLaren Vale region of South Australia. Established in 1997, the winery is owned and operated by winemaker Drew Noon and his wife, Raelene Noon. Celebrated for their commitment to crafting high-quality wines that embody the unique terroir of the region, Noon Winery focuses primarily on varietals such as Grenache and Shiraz, which thrive in the Mediterranean climate of McLaren Vale and are known for producing rich, full-bodied wines.
Among Noon Winery’s standout offerings are the Reserve Cabernet and Eclipse Red, both of which have garnered significant acclaim. The Reserve Cabernet showcases exceptional fruit concentration and elegance, often described as a sophisticated expression of the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. Its complexity is enhanced by meticulous vineyard management and careful aging in high-quality French oak, resulting in a wine that displays vibrant blackberry and cassis flavours, complemented by subtle hints of spice and cedar. This Cabernet is known for its balance, with firm tannins and a long, lingering finish, making it an excellent choice for both current enjoyment and cellaring.
Eclipse Red is another highlight, blending Grenache, Shiraz, and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon for a wine that perfectly represents the character of McLaren Vale. This blend is celebrated for its rich fruit profile, combining ripe red berries, dark plums, and a touch of chocolate, underpinned by a velvety mouthfeel and a harmonious structure. The Eclipse Red is crafted to be approachable yet complex, making it an excellent companion for a variety of dishes or a delightful sip on its own.
At Noon Winery, the philosophy revolves around minimal intervention in the vineyard and winery, allowing the natural characteristics of the grapes to shine through in each wine. The vineyards are meticulously cared for, using sustainable practices that promote soil health and biodiversity. This holistic approach, combined with selective hand harvesting, ensures that only the best fruit is used in the winemaking process.
The winemaking techniques employed at Noon emphasise traditional practices, such as open fermentation and natural yeast, which help to enhance the authenticity and complexity of the wines. The aging process occurs in high-quality oak barrels, imparting structure and depth while allowing the wines to develop their full potential over time. The result is a range of wines that are known for their elegance, balance, and ability to age gracefully.
Noon Winery has gained recognition for its exceptional offerings, receiving numerous awards and accolades in wine competitions both domestically and internationally. The winery prides itself on producing wines that not only reflect the distinctive characteristics of McLaren Vale but also offer an authentic representation of the vineyard's terroir. With a strong emphasis on quality and sustainability, Drew and Raelene Noon continue to make a significant contribution to the vibrant wine culture of Australia, celebrating the artistry of winemaking and the beauty of the local landscape.
