Pierre-Henri Jouard is now gradually taking over the running of the family estate from his father, François and uncle, Vincent. Together, they harvested the 2024 crop from 14th to 19th September with yields 10% below those of 2023.
They continue to sell a proportion of the crop as grapes to the Beaune négociants, enabling them to retain the fruit from the oldest vines and best-sited vineyards to vinify and sell under their own name.

All the wines are fermented and aged for 12 months in 228 litre barrels from Tonnellerie Chassin. The 11 hectare domaine is now widely recognised as being amongst the finest in Chassagne producing a splendid range of wines that combine crisp, pure fruit and generous, succulent textures.

Vieilles Vignes Cuvee comes from the domaine’s three finest parcels; Houillières, Meix Goudard and Clos Devant. Aged, as usual, in 20% new oak casks, this is crisp and vibrant with a rich, generous texture and a persistent finish.
