Description
Domaine Molin is a family-owned estate that was established in 1987 by Armelle and Jean-Michel Molin. The estate spreads over 7 hectares mainly in Fixin, and produces regional, Villages, Premiers Crus and Grands Crus appellations. In 2004, Alexandre, their son, joined the domain and initiated the organic conversion process, in which the vineyards were certified organic in 2010. Wines from Fixin, a village in the North of Côte de Nuits, are usually very vibrant in colour with a dominant tannic structure.
This 2013 vintage has a ruby colour with aromas of red and black fruits, such as cherry, blackcurrant, and blackberry with hints of musk and savoury note. Thanks to its acidity and 12 months of ageing in oak barrels, it has gained finesse and smooth texture as it ages after 11 years in the bottle.
