Description
This Pinot Noir showcases the essence of Santa Barbara County, highlighting classic fruit aromas intertwined with an earthy richness. Aromas of red currant, blueberry, and blood orange invite the senses, complemented by subtle notes of bay leaf, white pepper, and wet stone.
Sourced from premier vineyards, the blend primarily comes from the Santa Maria Valley, including notable selections like Bien Nacido, North Canyon, and Rancho Real. A smaller portion is sourced from Kick On and Los Alamos Vineyard in the Los Alamos area.
Traditional winemaking techniques have been employed for 40 years, focusing on hand harvesting and small lot fermentation. Daily manual punch downs enhance the process, while aging in François Frères French oak barrels for eight to twelve months imparts depth and complexity.
The resulting wine is well-balanced with a delightful mouthfeel and just the right amount of tannin and acidity, offering superb structure that will impress any Pinot Noir lover.
