Drinking Window: 2025 - 2037
Fragranced and spiced nose full of nuance and detail - roses, cinnamon, cherries and strawberries. Smooth and succulent, a drive of bright and clear red fruits begin this wine with such purity to the expression. It's lightly framed, more lean and juicy than plush, which is to be expected, but this carries the weight well with energy and focus. Needs a bit of time to put on a little weight around the edges but this has finesse and plenty of juicy appeal. Still has the Margaux elegance, but a bit light on the finish.

The 2021 Angludet is aged 50% in amphora and 50% in barrel, non-chaptalized with 30% new oak and a fair slug of Petit Verdot. It has an attractive bouquet with blackberry, melted tar and graphite aromas. There’s a spring in its step. The palate is light-bodied, but in not pushing this Margaux, it retains balance and freshness. It possesses a slightly gritty texture toward the Pauillac-like, graphite-tinged finish. This is not to be overlooked. - By Neal Martin on November 2023
