JAMES SUCKLING 96 Points
This is really something for the Prieure. The aromas are vivid and bright and so, so perfumed. Violets, other flowers and citrus blossoms too. Medium- to full-bodied with ultrafine polished tannins that go on and on. Cashmere texture. Long and seductive. Best after 2029.
DECANTER 93 points
Drinking Window: 2028 - 2045 - Fragrant and concentrated, a lovely perfume on the nose. Easy, cool, almost light fruit on the palate, doesn't have the density of some, but it's sleek and taught - streamlined and keeps the focus. Tannins are fine and well integrated and this is a slick, quite suave - if not quite exciting- take on the vintage. Well made, nice concentration and tannic impact. Tasted twice. Derenoncourt consultants. - Georgina Hindle Apr 23
WINE ENTHUSIAST 93 points
The estate, in the village of Cantenac, is now performing well. This new release is full of fresh fruits, mingling with dark tannins. The black fruit aroma is immediately attractive. Drink the wine from 2028. — Roger Voss
VINOUS 93 points
The 2022 Prieuré-Lichine is plush, open-knit and quite seductive, as it so often is. Crushed flowers, spice, mint, orange peel and bright, red-toned fruit are all laced together. Silky and medium in body, with lovely finesse, Prieuré-Lichine is quite the charmer. I imagine it will drink well with minimal cellaring. - Antonio Galloni
THE WINE ADVOCATE 91-93 points
Offering up generous amounts of sweet berries, orange rind and licorice, the 2022 Prieuré-Lichine is medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, with a lively core of fruit that's framed by powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully firm finish. This heavily morcellated estate (amounting to some 125 different parcels) continues to benefit from a more rigorous selection and better attention to detail regarding harvest dates.
JANCIS ROBINSON 16.5 points
Lustrous crimson with a slightly bitter, over-extracted note on the end. But dramatically intense, sweet fruit in the middle. (JR)
