Alexandrine Roy presides over this small domaine, amounting to just over three hectares, aided by her semi-retired father, Marc. There are no premiers or grands crus, but nor does one feel their want, as the charming, supple and fragrant reds produced at this address lack for nothing. Entirely destemmed and matured in 50% new oak from tonnellerie Cadus.
Whilst her holdings exclusively comprise “village” sites, the resulting wines taste as though they originate from premier or even grand cru vineyards and show a lovely purity and elegance that have garnered the domaine praise from around the world. Through minimal intervention and extraction, Alexandrine allows her old vines to express themselves with immense depth of flavour and clarity. These are sublimely silky, plush, supple and transparent wines.
