In 2019, Charles-Louis de Noüe arrived in Slovenia, coming from a long, family tradition of winemaking in Burgundy (he is part of the family that owns Domaine Leflaive), and driven by his passion for finding the most authentic and prestigious terroirs for growing vines, he brought some abandoned, Brda vineyards back into production, rescuing their rich, genetic heritage. The same year, he and his Slovenian partner Alis Marinic launched Vini Noüe Marinic. Situated in Brda, close to the Italian border, they produce some of the most exciting wines in the region.

"The Refosco is made from 50% whole bunch fermentation, sourced from hillside vineyards within the region's highest classified crus, this wine is aged 12 months in barrels, with 5% new oak. The nose is pure and spicy, offering delicate hints of violet, wild herbs, and a touch of pepper.
