Crimson red wine with an intensely perfumed me´lange of red fruits, and candy apple, and bright oak undertones. On the palate, the fruit/oak balance is harmonious with soft and juicy tannins, cassis, and plum flavours producing a wine of vibrant structure and a lingering finish.
Harvesting is done by hand, followed by grape sorting before the grapes were put into the same fermenter after which co-fermentation took place. After malolactic fermentation took place naturally, the wines were aged in third, fourth, and fifth-fill French oak barrels for 8 months. After racking and filtration, the wine was bottled in October 2021.
Food recommendations: Smoked brisket or a mild Cape Malay Curry.
