Description
Coming from the Lamole area, situated at 600m, this is a wonderfully sleek and silky wine with little oak interference and a long, smooth, savoury finish. Unlike the more structured wines and those with decisive oak details, this beautiful wine is simply a siren song of the Lamole terroir with its stunningly aromatic signature. The nose is as enveloping as the palate is pure, and at four years of age, this wine is hitting the peak of its powers, where it will remain for a few more years with ease. Once again, the value here is terrific, underlining the glaringly obvious fact that you do not have to seek out Riservas to have fun!

Established in the early 1960s by the Manetti family, Fontodi is dedicated to producing high-quality wines that embody the essence of the terroir. The estate encompasses approximately 130 hectares of vineyards, with a significant portion dedicated to Sangiovese, the hallmark grape of the Chianti region.
